China, Pakistan Strengthen Strategic Partnership
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Pakistani counterpart Ishaq Dar led their respective delegations during the discussions, which covered the entire spectrum of bilateral relations along with regional and global matters, the statement added.
The ministers also shared "in-depth" perspectives on various dimensions of bilateral collaboration, such as the second stage of the multibillion-dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, commerce, investment, multilateral partnerships, and cultural exchanges.
Both sides consented to uphold close cooperation, both on a bilateral level and within international platforms.
At a joint press briefing with Dar, Wang described the alliance between Beijing and Islamabad as “unbreakable” and emphasized it "means a lot for our respective governments, as well as regional peace and stability."
He lauded Pakistan's "tireless" efforts in combating terrorism and voiced assurance that Islamabad would “effectively” protect Chinese personnel, ventures, and institutions within its borders.
Wang stated that the two countries have agreed "on almost every issue" and underscored China’s support for settling conflicts in South Asia through dialogue and negotiation.
