Turkey discloses its annual list of nation’s top taxpayers
(MENAFN) Türkiye has released its annual top 100 taxpayers list for 2024, with Selcuk Bayraktar, chairman of drone maker Baykar, ranked first, followed by Haluk Bayraktar, the company’s CEO. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Baykar executives have topped the list.
Selcuk Bayraktar paid 2.76 billion Turkish liras ($84 million) in income tax, while Haluk Bayraktar paid 2.53 billion liras ($77 million). Their tax contributions have surged roughly 18-fold since 2021, fueled by Baykar’s booming exports, which accounted for 90 percent of its 2024 revenue. The company recorded $1.8 billion in exports, placing it among Türkiye’s top 10 exporting firms for the second year in a row.
The third-place taxpayer chose to remain anonymous, while Mustafa Rahmi Koç, honorary chairman of Koç Holding, ranked fourth with 757.75 million liras ($23 million). In total, 79 of the top 100 taxpayers preferred not to disclose their names. Erman Ilicak, honorary chairman of Renaissance Holding, secured the 10th spot with 372.7 million liras ($11.3 million).
