Turkish authorities capture millions of narcotic pills

(MENAFN) Turkish law enforcement officials seized nearly 7.9 million narcotic pills along with 63 kilograms of raw drug materials on Tuesday, authorities reported.

Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said on social media that the operation targeted individuals involved in drug production in Istanbul.

Earlier the same day, police conducted another raid, confiscating 207 kilograms of methamphetamine and arresting two suspects, marking one of the largest drug seizures in the country in recent years.

Authorities have intensified anti-drug efforts in recent years, carrying out coordinated operations aimed at dismantling organized trafficking networks.
